The Krooked team were in town and whilst we were at the pool, Brad had gone to skate with them. Mark Gonzales surprised Brad by turning up with a circle board made of Brad’s new pro board. It was an amazing way to turn pro and took Brad completely by surprise, he celebrated, as anyone who had just been turned pro by the Gonz, with a bag of Sun Chips and a plate of noodles.

Still buzzing from turning pro the day before, Brad folded his ankle in half trying a ledge trick. Despite instant icing and trying every remedy under the sun, he was out for the remainder of the trip.

It was at this point that Lurker Lou stepped into the frame and took us to some excellent spots as well as providing constant verbal entertainment.

Watching Zered blasting up and down this street towards a pretty haggard bank spot was a serious treat.

Zered returning to Manhattan Island after another excellent day in Brooklyn.

If a New York minute is fast, you can bet a week goes even faster. Before we knew it it was time to head home, New York had proven once again to be one of the most inspiring places in the world to skate. Here is Steve and Zered having a laugh on our last day in NYC, looking at Manhattan from Brooklyn.

Meanwhile Brad was still praying his ankle would get better.

There are other cities in the world whose skyline beat New York’s in terms of volume or total height, but for me, New York will always be the best. Thank-you for an excellent trip New York City.

Some of the photos from New York have already hit the pages of Transworld Skateboarding, Brad’s body varial at a bar hop in Brooklyn was in his interview in the December 2013 issue.

And Zered’s switch hurricane that he pulled whilst waiting for the deep end of the pool to dry was the cover of the December 2013 issue.
